We currently have over 40 studios spanning over 6 ex-industrial, retail and office spaces in Sheffield. Demand for creative spaces is high and we are always looking to expand into more new, exciting premises and transform them into communities of work, art and play. Our studios have played host to a variety of occupants, from jewellery makers, to website designers – we have something to suit everyone.
Our studios are always changing and sometimes we may have studios coming up that are not yet published here. We also have contacts in other places around Sheffield who have studios available to rent so give us a call or an email and we will always be happy to point you in the right direction.
Alongside our studios, we have a multiple versatile, unique space available for hire. Our spaces offer something different from the corporate, everyday places that you visit on a daily basis. Bring something special to your project or event, something different that sparks interest and intrigue, using these seemingly abandoned places that hide a wealth of art and heritage. All our spaces are available all year round (subject to bookings).

CADS took on this disused workspace complex in order to turn it around into usable, affordable, individual creative spaces. We have a wide range of spaces available, so whether you’re looking for a small studio, large office for a bigger team or a warehouse for distribution business, we’ll make sure to find a space most suitable for your needs.

Eagle Works
Eagle Works is CADS' studio complex,
residing in the previous business headquarters of Castmaster Rolls Ltd, the Eagle Foundry in Attercliffe. With its grand entrance marked by towering flagpoles and a marble foyer, the two-story red brick building, encompasses art studios, work spaces, and even a brewery!
We're extremely excited about this space, with its diverse facilities and beautiful architectural details giving it a real sense of local history and character. It's a perfect fit for artists as well as small businesses, with rooms to cater for both.

Abbeydale Picture House
Available studios and spaces
The Abbeydale Picture House is the cornerstone of our portfolio. It has been an exciting challenge, bringing this building back to life! We are available to hire for a whole range of events, including but not limited to concerts, film screenings, festivals, theatre, cabaret, parties and weddings, and for film and photography shoots, music videos shoots, and small private hires.

Exchange Street
Exchange Street is a collection of former shop units looking onto the site of the old Castle Market.
We worked with Sheffield City Council to open up these spaces for use by independent enterprises in the city. These 4 units which include Delicious Clam, Plot 22, Bal Fashions & Frontier Gallery, have seen huge success already whilst having significant impact on the Castlegate Regeneration.
No new units are currently available, but watch this space!

CADS has played host to myriad one-off events spanning theatre, photo-shoots and art exhibitions covering 50 days of the year and attracting over 2,000 visitors.
Revered underground venue and events company The Night Kitchen was listed as one of the UK’s 10 Best Clubs in The Guardian, 2015. The Night Kitchen is a partnership between CADS & Party for the People.
